SEO 2013 And Beyond: Your latest update in SEO
In this book, author Dr. Andy Williams outlines how a 2012 SEO manual can ruin your SEO, and waste your long years in the trade. Furthermore, he discusses the changes that Google made, making the pre-existing SEO practices risky, and can get your website penalized in 2013.
Dr. Williams enumerates the new updates that Google gradually introduces to the SEO community that made some SEO techniques prohibited. Here are the updates that he discussed:
- February 11, 2011 saw the bomb of an update fall on the SEO community when Google introduced the Panda update, a program that removes low quality content from the search engine results pages.
- Adding insult to injury, Google implemented the Penguin update on the 24th of April 2012. Penguin focuses on overly aggressive SEO tactics. Tactics that SEOs had been doing for years, not only did not work anymore, but can now also cause your site to be penalized and drop out of the rankings.
- A new algorithm update targeting Exact Match Domains (EMDs) was released on September 28th 2012, sandwiched between new Panda update (27th of September) and Penguin update (on the 5th of October).
In his book, Dr. Williams aims to share to the aspirant and pre-existing members of the SEO community the new SEO: The SEO 2013 and Beyond.
